What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Simmons Wolfhagen Lawyers Launceston handles property settlements and wider legal work for clients in Launceston, and feedback left by customers is genuinely divided. A recurring theme in the positive accounts is the care taken by named staff during house purchases and settlements; several reviewers describe Kenneth and Emma as professional and calm from beginning to end, while others single out Kylie for being attentive, knowledgeable and kind on a home purchase, and Katie and Olivia for diligence in flagging issues during a settlement.

Zoey is credited with assisting a family across multiple settlements for both household and business matters. The same names appear more than once, which suggests the praise is not isolated. An aspect raised across a number of reviews is how smoothly settlements were handled when communication was consistent.

In contrast, reviewers who rated the firm poorly describe missed deadlines on time-sensitive matters, slow progress, errors in paperwork and weak communication, including a case where an early settlement request was pursued with little feedback on its progress. Another review characterises dealings as frustrating and disorganised. Experienced conveyancing and legal advice works well for many clients, alongside calls for more reliable timelines and clearer updates when matters become urgent.

We had a fantastic experience working with Kenneth and Emma. The entire process was seamless, professional, and completely stress-free from start to finish. Their communication and support were top-notch throughout. Highly recommended!

I was very disappointed with the level of service I received during my property settlement. I requested an early settlement, but there was little to no communication about whether my request had even been sent to the vendor's solicitor. After multiple follow-ups, I was finally told that an email had been sent and they were waiting for a response. A few days later, I was informed that the request had been rejected. I understand that an early settlement request can be declined, and I have no issue with that. However, after speaking with the real estate agent, I was told that the vendor would likely have considered an early settlement if it included a rental arrangement until the agreed settlement date. When I asked my solicitor to send a revised request with this option, they refused outright. Instead, I was warned that if I sent any further emails on the matter, I would be charged their maximum hourly rate. I expected my solicitor to represent my interests and at least make reasonable attempts to explore available options. Instead, I felt dismissed and discouraged from asking legitimate questions. Based on my experience, customer service and communication were extremely poor. I would have expected much better support from a firm acting on behalf of its clients.

Katie and Olivia managed our settlement in a highly professional and efficient manner. Their attention to detail and diligence in pointing different aspects out made the settlement process seamless. We would thoroughly recommend Katie and Olivia and SimWolf.

We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of Katie Notley and Sian Stafford as our conveyancing solicitors who handled the sale of our family home. Their advice was clear, timely, and practical, helping my parents feel confident and well-supported throughout the entire process. They were highly responsive, explained each step with care, and ensured everything moved forward smoothly. During what can be an overwhelming time, their calm, knowledgeable, and efficient approach made a significant difference. We would recommend their services to anyone needing reliable and professional support for the sale of their home.

Shocking to deal with. Made lots of errors, were incredibly slow and just generally frustrating and terrible to deal with. Definitely do not recommend using them.

I agree with Andrew McCarl, at a very hard time in my life and all my lawet could do was abuse me, and ask irrelevant questions. The communication from them was also very poor.I would not recommend this business at all.
