The only reason I can think why this organisation may have been rated 4.7 stars on Google review, is because the vast majority of reviews were more than 3 years ago. I can only assume the good staff have since moved on. I have never before experienced such poor customer service and communication, as I did with ECC. My partner and I initially went with ECC off the recommendation of friends, who used Samantha’s services. Unfortunately, Samantha left the organisation so we had to deal with Chrystal Esgate. Chrystal reviewed three property contracts for us (none of which we have put a bid in for) each at a charge of $350 ($1,050 in total). In speaking to our mortgage broker, I was disappointed to learn that most conveyancers don’t charge for this service, or do so at a much lower rate. Following his advice, I called two other local conveyancers in Newcastle and was told by one they charge $110 per contract review, while the other said they don’t charge. We asked Chrystal to clarify her costings (along with other reasonable enquires), as $350 per contract review was not financially viable for us. I sent Chrystal 4 follow up emails over the course of about 3 months and she did not respond to any of them. The director of ECC (Paul Bollen) and admin were also cc’d into the emails. I know for a fact they were receiving those emails because she had responded to the first one and Paul responded to the last one by accident (email was meant for Crystal) Please do yourself a favour and shop around before making the mistake with ECC.

ECC recently assisted us with the sale of our two properties. We decided to use them after having seen their wonderful Google reviews, but unfortunately we didn't have the same experience. Poor communication skills, they did not provide any guidance throughout the process and are extremely slow at responding to emails/returning phone calls. We were having to follow up on the progress of each file and felt like we had to cross-check their figures and question a number of things, as they did not take the time to talk us through anything. Yes, they got the job done however, they definitely didn't go 'above and beyond' - we didn't receive the kind of service we were hoping (and paid!) for.

I have recently completed the purchase of my new home using East Coast Conveyancing Newcastle Office. I must express my thanks for their professionalism and the absolutely wonderful service that they provided throughout the whole process.Nothing was too much trouble and they always responded to all communications promptly and kept me informed of progress at every step along the way. I would strongly recommend them if buying or sell.

Prompt professional pleasant service ensured I didn't have to worry . Comprehensive comprehensible explanation of legal process was provided and Kerry was always accessible to answer questions and allay concerns. For a flat fee! I would highly recommend Kerry and East Coast.

We had Sam Ede sorting out our Conveyancing needs. She was awesome from the start very easy to talk to and she explained things in a way we could understand as 1st home buyers. We had alot of last minute issues arise leading up to settlement and they were dealt with promptly and we were kept well informed of the next steps the whole way. Really happy with the service we received and when it's time for our 2nd property we will certainly be heading Sam's way. Also shout out to Victoria who was really great to keeping us informed about the last minute issues with our settlement and getting them handled as fast as possible. Awesome stuff.
